A complete guide from first click to high-score mastery.
One input is all you need.
Click and hold the left mouse button to grow the stick. Release to let the stickman walk.
Tap and hold anywhere on the screen to extend the stick. Lift your finger to release.
The stick grows at a constant speed. You must estimate the gap and release at exactly the right moment.
From zero to hero in five steps.
Click the "Play Now" button on the homepage. The game loads instantly in your browser — no installation required. Your stickman appears on the first platform.
Look at the distance between your current platform and the next one. Platforms vary in width and spacing, so take a quick mental note before each attempt.
Press and hold your mouse button or tap and hold on mobile. A stick begins to grow vertically from your stickman's position. The stick extends at a steady rate — count the rhythm in your head.
Let go when you think the stick is the right length to reach the next platform. The stick falls and bridges the gap. If it's too short, you fall. If it's too long and goes past the platform — you also fall!
Each successful crossing adds one to your score. The game continues until you miss. Try to beat your previous high score every run — that's where the real addiction kicks in.
Advice from players who've mastered the jump.
After a few rounds, you'll develop an internal sense of timing. Trust your rhythm over visual estimation — it's more consistent and less prone to parallax errors.
When in doubt, aim for the near edge of the next platform rather than the center. A stick that barely reaches is better than one that overshoots entirely.
The most common time to fail is right after a string of successes. Your confidence spikes and you rush the next stick. Take the same deliberate approach every single time.
Early platforms tend to have smaller gaps. Use these to calibrate your timing for the session. Don't rush through easy ones — they're your warm-up.
Keep your eyes on the leading edge of the next platform. This helps your brain calculate the distance more accurately than looking at the center or far edge.
Your reaction time degrades with fatigue. If you've been playing for 20+ minutes, take a quick break. You'll often come back and immediately beat your record.
Stick Jump doesn't have a built-in pause button since each round is very quick. If you need to stop, simply don't click — the game only progresses when you interact with it.
The platforms vary in distance randomly from the start, so there isn't a traditional difficulty curve. However, maintaining focus over many consecutive jumps becomes the real challenge.
There's no upper limit. The game continues infinitely as long as you keep landing on platforms. Your score is limited only by your skill and concentration.
